So we all had the great pleasure yesterday with the start of the Olympics and the women’s football to see them raise the South Korean flag for the North Korean team. Suffice to say the team went off in a strop and it took half an hour for them to come back on because they were busy throwing their toys out of the pram that they could ever be confused with a democratic non-imperialist country that did not want Asian hegemony. The mistake is so pointed that I can only assume that it must of been intentional, if not by the organisers, but at least by some, to an extent politically and internationally clued in individual. The only shame is that they didn’t stay off, they went on to win. It would of been much better to simply disqualify them and send them home packing their country does not deserve any sort of international recognition, its a farce.  Though, thinking about it, knowing the insanity of the North Korean government, a simple disqualification would probably be taken  as a declaration of war and try to launch their one and only nuclear bomb at the uk.

To know that I passed my first year at uni, especially with Merit. If I hadn’t messed up my first ever coursework then I would of got a distinction too. :P haha oh well. :D
